SHAY DE CASTRO – Incendium

June the 19th meets young, talented and living for the music – Shay De Castro to release on CODEX!

Raised by musicians in the US, she was taught to play the drums just at 4 years old. As a teenager she began experimenting with DJing and production, quickly becoming obsessed. Underground raves and commercial trance events helped to forge the thumping, malevolent soundscapes coming from her studio today.

Her solo productions and collaboration efforts have won the support from many prolific fellow artists such Amelie Lens, Ilario Alicante and Enrico Sangiuliano. Thanks to this and the support of her dedicated fanbase, her tracks regularly climb through the top 100 techno charts on Beatport.

Combine her artistry in the studio along with her high-octane energy behind the decks, and Shay is well on her way to becoming one of the most in-demand artists of the next generation.

More about her

Young, talented, and focused on studio artistry, Shay De Castro is the rising star of tomorrow. Raised by musicians in the United States, she was first placed in front of a drum set at 4 years old and developed a huge passion for guitar at 10. At just 14, she began to experiment with DJing and producing (albeit very badly).

Her sound has developed over the years thanks to a mixture of underground parties and more commercial trance events, to become the thumping, boundary-pushing aural journeys you’ll hear today. Violent synths and head-shaking kicks are ever-present in her studio, with her creativity earning support and recognition from techno giants like Amelie Lens, UMEK, T78, Enrico Sangiuliano, and more.

Support from: Amelie Lens, UMEK, Ramiro Lopez, Spartaque, Luigi Madonna, Enrico Sangiuliano, Ramon Tapia, Markantonio, Cristian Varela, Ilario Alicante, Spektre, Veerus, POPOF, Mark Greene, The Reactivitz, T78, Sinisa Tamamovic, Mladen Tomic, ASIO, Hollen, Vikthor, Jon Connor + more
